This week, I was reminded of the mantra for this class; ready, fire, aim. I’ve spent years thinking about starting a web business but I never did because I believed that it would take a long time and be too difficult to start. The idea that you just go for it and then tweak things as you go is refreshing; I feel like anything is possible. I also feel inspired and happy because my business idea was in my top five.

In addition to feeling personally inspired, I also learned some practical skills. I created a Google Ads account and figured out how to search for keywords. Then, I learned how to have it predict how much traffic and competition there were for the words I found. Lastly, I got to practice sharing ideas and opinions with my group on the discussion board. As I defended my opinions I was able to refine them and think deeply about business models, product choices, and competition. Participating in the discussion board really helped me get clear about my opinions.
