This weeks learning was interesting, I learned about google analytics and how Google’s quality score is calculated.
I started out the week learning about Google’s quality score, the video explained that I need to make sure that the whole experience users have with my ads is relevant to what they are searching for. I can do that by using keywords in my ads and on the landing page that my ad links to. It’s also important to use negative keywords so that my ads only reach people who are interested in my products. Googles quality score is partly based on click-through rate and using negative keywords will improve my CTR.
I ended the weak learning about Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a powerful tool that allows me to see how people are interacting with my website. I can use it to see what users do when they arrive at my landing page; how long they browse, what they look at, and even what they click on. I’m amazed at the details that are on my analytics homepage. I can see how many clicks each of my products get and how long people stay on that page. I can also see what time of day people are most active on my page and where those people are from. All of this information will help my business because it gives me a good picture of who my consumers are when they like to shop, and which of my products they like. It will also be helpful to my business because I can see what isn’t working and fix it.
